Join our dedicated team at St John’s Residential & Nursing Home, a 39-bed home providing high-quality, person-centred residential and nursing care. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional care and enhancing the lives of our residents.
In this rewarding role, you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care, supporting residents with their daily living needs while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing. You will work closely with families, colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for shift coordination when required, support and mentor junior staff and students, and contribute to continuous service improvement. We are seeking a nurse who can work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrates excellent communication skills, and embodies our CARE values in everything they do.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will co-ordinate the management of the ward in the absenceof a senior nurse, taking responsibility, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintainedfollowing the CARE values.
Assisting service users with all activities of daily living is a corecomponent of this role. The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning,implementing, delivering, and evaluating personalised care for a group of individuals,ensuring service users and family are included in decision making, preserving privacy anddignity.
They are responsible for their own personal development, ensuringmandatory/statutory training is completed in a timely manner. Adhering to all HSC policiesand procedures. The post holder is expected to act as a mentor, practice assessor/supervisorto junior staff and students.
