Overview:
The Statistical Programmer II is responsible for supporting clinical data analysis through the development, validation, and documentation of SAS programs. This role focuses on preparing high-quality datasets, tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) to support clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, and publications, in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate SAS programs to generate CDISC-compliant datasets (SDTM, ADaM), tables, listings, and figures for clinical trials.
- Review and contribute to dataset specifications and programming documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of clinical data outputs across deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with biostatisticians, data managers, and other team members to support project timelines and deliverables.
- Adhere to company and client standard operating procedures (SOPs), regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, ICH), and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of programming tools, macros, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Provide guidance and training to new team members and support knowledge sharing within the programming team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in statistical programming for clinical trials.
- Solid practical knowledge of SAS software, including dataset creation, manipulation, and validation.
Skills:
- Proficiency in SAS programming and understanding of SDTM and ADaM standards.
- Strong knowledge of clinical research, medical terminology, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
