Support Worker: Sponsorship Available

East London NHS Foundation Trust

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join North Bedfordshire CAMHS. The Clinical Support Worker is a community-based post sitting within our CAMHS Adolescent Mental Health Team (AMHT).

The AMHT is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of social workers, therapists, nurses, psychologists, and support workers who work with young people (between 13-18) who have the most complex mental health problems. Our Clinical Support Workers are therefore an important and valued part of the team, undertaking a wide range of work with young people.

The AMHT offers individual, family and group interventions which are centered around the young person and their family/carers; we therefore welcome applications from people who are good at communicating and engaging with others and who are good team players but who can also work on their own when required.

Main duties of the job

Our clinically-led service is strongly committed to continuously improving the experience and quality of care we offer our families. The successful post holder will therefore directly contribute to the positive working environment within the team and will be encouraged identify ways in which we might improve the service we are able to deliver.

The Senior Management Team within North Bedfordshire CAMHS is committed to staff development: as well as receiving a robust induction program, regular clinical and management supervision to support this role, there are regular opportunities for staff to apply for appropriate training courses and to get involved in quality improvement initiatives and new developments in the service. We also have a significant number of positions in the trust for clinicians up to band 8D, opening up paths for promotion for those who wish to develop and progress within the service.
