Job Summary

To assist the multi-disciplinary ASC Assessment Pathway (Autism Spectrum Condition) to provide quality Autism assessment and therapeutic services to children and young people. Working with support systems to gather multi-agency assessment information to contribute to multi-agency diagnostic panel decisions.

 

Main duties of the job

  • To support and assist in providing assessment relating to ASC diagnosis under the clinical supervision of a qualified staff, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified staff and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.
  • Under the guidance of the Clinical staff (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Art Therapy and SALT) to assist with the audit and evaluation activities of the CAMHS ASC Pathway.
  • To work within the policies of Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and the codes of conduct and professional guidelines laid down by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC); the British Psychological Society (BPS) and its Division of Clinical Psychology.

Essential

  • Degree or professional training in relevant field
  • Experience working with children and young people in a clinical or educational setting
