Job Summary
The department is the host for the East Midlands radiotherapy network and has excellent transport links around the region and with the rest of the country. Being based at the Royal Infirmary site you will be within walking distance of the vibrant and historical city centre of Leicester.
Our scanners are Canon and GE wide bores with 4DCT and we use the ARIA Oncology management system, Prosoma Virtual Simulation and Varian Eclipse treatment planning systems. We have completed our linac replacement programme and have 4 TrueBeam linacs and a Halcyon linac.
The new purpose built brachytherapy suite contains the Varian GammaMed brachytherapy unit which is being replaced this year and our superficial unit is also being replaced this year. We offer a wide range of treatments including DIBH and SABR for both primary lung and oligometastatic disease and we are introducing SGRT to 2 of our Truebeam linacs in the spring of this year.
There is a strong focus on staff development and culture so this is an excellent opportunity to utilise your clinical and leadership skills for the benefit of the LLR patient population and for those patients from further afield.
