Job Summary

UHNM are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Endoscopist Trainees to work across our sites. The training post is suitable for NMC Registered Nurses. Band 7-8a (dependent upon training progression/completion).

To support are JAG accredited endoscopy units in learning and experience helping to maintain excellent standards and to further develop these areas for future innovations.

 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse who wishes to undertake fast track training in order to become a Clinical Nurse Endoscopist and join our team at UHNM, working at County Hospital, Royal Stoke and CDC sites. Our endoscopy departments have a mix of medical and non-medical endoscopists, and we are excited to be able to recruit an additional nurse endoscopists due to service growth.

You would be joining us at an exciting time. Our services are expanding and developing to ensure sustainable patient care, in a time where there is higher demand than ever before.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Current professional registration – role related
  • Registered Nurse
  • Experience of working in either upper and lower GI services
  • band 6 and above for at least 1 year
  • Endoscopy experience

Desirable

  • Naso endoscopy experience
  • Independent Nurse Prescribing

Experience

Essential

  • Sound theoretical and practical Knowledge of Gastroenterology Conditions
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in clinical situations
  • Experience to work within protocols
  • Able to work within a multidisciplinary team and also independently

Desirable

  • Naso endoscopy experience
