Trust Doctor in Gynaecological Oncology (ST6-7)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a specialist Trust Doctor at Barts Health NHS Trust for 1 year.
Barts Health NHS Trust was created on 1 April 2012 and is the largest in the UK.
The post will be based at The Whipps Cross University Hospital . This is a non-training post but will provide valuable experience in maternal-fetal medicine and high risk obstetrics for those wishing to secure future posts, including at consultant level for applicants who already hold CCT.
Individuals will require full GMC Registration and should be post MRCOG. This post is aimed at UK or Overseas trainee obstetricians at ST 5+ level or above. There will be an out of hours component to the job as a senior registrar with responsibility for supervising a more junior SpR on delivery suite and covering gynaecology emergencies.
Main duties of the job

There will be an out of hours component to the job as a senior registrar with responsibility for supervising a more junior SpR on delivery suite and covering gynaecology emergencies.
Opportunities will be given to work with the gynaecology oncology team at Whipps Cross in outpatient clinics and theatre. Post holders will be trained in management of gynaecological cancers, hysteroscopy and vulval disease. There will regular theatre sessions. There will also be opportunities to undertake the gynaecology oncology ATSM. Successful candidates will be encouraged to participate in teaching, research, audit and journal club. - Experience with gynaecological laparoscopy

- Experience in the UK as senior registrar on delivery suite
- Experience with robotic surgery
