Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have a vacancy for a permanent Trust Specialty Registrar to join their O&G team. This post is available to start from October 2026.The successful applicant will undertake a range of activities in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with one protected session in the area that they wish to develop further skills. This will be an excellent opportunity for non-training grade doctors who wish to pursue the CESR pathway. The department holds a particularly good record in helping doctors progress and complete the CESR requirements.All applicants must hold a full GMC Registration with a Licence to practice.We anticipate this to be a popular post and this advert may close earlier than the displayed closing date. Main duties of the job

To participate fully in the provision of general services in obstetrics and gynaecology for the population within the catchment area of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital with outpatients and elective surgery based at Wycombe Hospital. The post carries a balanced job plan for the appointee and can be adapted to suit their special interests. The successful candidate will participate in a two tier, full shift rota (1 in 8 – 10) of 16-18 Registrars/Specialty Doctors. Experience

Essential

  • 5 years of experience in Obs and Gynae at Registrar level

Desirable

  • UK NHS experience as a Registrar doctor in O&G

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • MRCOG
  • ALSO or equivalent

Ability/Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • Thorough knowledge of speciality and ability to work at Registrar level.
  • Competencies as per RCOG requirements for completion of ST5
  • Ability to make good clinical notes
  • Fluent in spoken & written English
  • Sound clinical knowledge, surgical skills and communication skills
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations and take responsibility
  • Ability to manage Delivery Suite at Registrar level

Desirable

  • Additional skills in fetal medicine, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic surgery
