Reporting to the Telecoms Manager your role will focus on leading a team of engineers to ensure systems are maintained and supported to Trust standards

Main duties of the job
You will take responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the Telecommunications Workshop and a small team of engineers which form part of it. The post holder will apply their extensive knowledge in telecommunications networks & Wide Area radio paging communications to ensure the numerous clinical and administrative functions are able to function efficiently and any communication issues are resolved quickly. The post holder will take the lead on more demanding support issues or projects.
You will be supported to work within established standards and best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of Telecoms services.

- A degree or equivalent experience in a Telecoms related discipline

- Proficient programming Unify Openscape 4000.
- Experience of working with VoIP systems
- Knowledge of voice data cabling
- A good understanding of component level electronics
- A good understanding of a large enterprise telecoms environment, including deployment of resilient, wide area communications
