Overview
We are seeking a skilled WordPress & Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, particularly with WordPress, and Shopify and will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality websites. You will work closely with designers and other developers to ensure that our projects meet client specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress/Shopify websites to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with designers to implement responsive designs using frameworks such as Bootstrap.
- Write clean, efficient code using PHP, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Integrate APIs and third-party services into WordPress/Shopify applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.
- Conduct testing and debugging of websites throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Maintain documentation for code, processes, and project specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to web development.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PHP, jQuery, and SQL; experience with SQLite or PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
- Strong understanding of the platforms and its ecosystem.
- Experience in developing custom themes and plugins for WordPress/Shopify.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
